In this Section you will find out about the different styles of magic, what how they fit in the marketplace, a guide to pricing, business set up costs, and setting goals. All this comes together when you create your own business plan so you can launch your career as a magician.
This Section looks at children’s magic. This is an area often overlooked by magicians but it can act as a springboard to enable you to be professional. You will find out what is needed to build a show, building a brand, promoting it (including setting up a website), and how to increase your income from each show you perform.
Magic at Private Parties and Weddings
This Section focuses on getting booked for private functions. From developing your branding, what packages to offer, marketing, wedding fairs, restaurant residencies, developing a website and getting repeat bookings. As well as giving you templates it also has the full script of my Ambitious Card Routine.
This Section is for taking your magic forward into the lucrative corporate market. How position your brand, develop a corporate cabaret show (and take that show into theatres and onto cruise ships), perform at exhibitions and trade shows; and how to market yourself successfully to the decision makers.
Sales and Marketing
Regardless of what style(s) of magic your perform, this Section looks at building a sales process, building your brand, promoting with a showreels, brochures and PR. Then building your business by getting referrals and recommendation, and networking (both face to face and with social media). Details guides to get you advertised on Google and Facebook. Then setting your price, handling enquiries, offering discounts, using a database and closing the sale. It has templates for replying to enquiries, offer emails, database and contracts). Magic Theory and Presentation
To be successful you must have a good product people recommend. This Section helps you choose suitable material, presentation techniques, introducing yourself to tables, how to work a room effectively, using body language and psychological techniques to build rapport, and understand the dynamics behind having a good gig (and increasing the chances of having more of them!)
